ITANAGAR, Jul 9: The new Health & Wellness Centre (HWC) at Hokka Village, Jollang, was inaugurated today by Deputy Commissioner of Capital Complex, Shweta Nagarkoti Mehta.

She urged residents to utilize the basic health services offered by the HWC and emphasized the importance of public cooperation in implementing significant government initiatives. She assured the residents of full support to ensure the efficient functioning of the center.

ZPM Taro Tagia expressed hope that the health centre would serve a large population and discussed plans to equip the center with more medical equipment in the near future.

District Medical Officer Dr Kipa Tuglik stressed the importance of maintaining a healthy life, especially as one ages. DRCHO Dr Krishna Welly informed that the new facility replaced the old center at Birup village, which had become unfit for use due to various reasons. He highlighted that the project was completed through the collaborative efforts of the health staff of ICR, Jollang youths, and the local panchayat.

On the occasion, the deputy commissioner and ZPM also carried out a tree plantation at the location.
