ITANAGAR, Jul 20: The mortal remains of former minister Talo Mugli was laid to rest with full state honors in his hometown Raga on Saturday.

Thousands including Arunachal Pradesh legislative assembly deputy speaker Kardo Nyigyor, Urban Affairs minister Balo Raja, IPR minister Nyato Dukam and Chyangtajo MLA Hayeng Mangfi paid their last respects to late Mugli on Saturday.

Born on October 5, 1956, in Muri Mugli village under Gepen circle of present Kamle district, Mugli breathed his last at his residence in Raga on Thursday after battling cancer.

Mugli, known for his extensive political career, was first nominated to the State Legislative Assembly in 1984. He subsequently served four consecutive terms as a legislator and held key positions, including deputy minister in the Gegong Apang government.

He later ascended to the role of minister of state and oversaw crucial portfolios such as Rural Development, Panchayati Raj, and PWD.
