Yupia, Aug 12: Nearly 6000 students from various schools of Papum Pare district were administered the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan pledge, as a part of IEC activities to make the district drug free.
Students from both public and private schools took part in the event.
The school in-charges presented talks on ill effects of drugs before administering the pledge to students.
Teachers, government officials, police personnel, anganwadi and ASHA workers also took Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan pledge to join the fight against the menace.
Papum Pare deputy commissioner Jiken Bomjen administered the pledge to administrative officers and HoDs at the DC office complex here.
A similar event was also organised at IG Park, Itanagar, wherein students from various schools took Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan pledge by Capital Itanagar deputy commissioner Talo Potom.
