DOIMUKH, Aug 16: A team led by circle officer Nyalisa Raji and trade development officer Tai Arun carried out a surprise inspection in the Midpu-Kola Camp area here on Friday.
The inspection aimed to address violations of trading license rules and unauthorized trade activities.
The inspection team, which also included members of the Papum Pare Unit of the All Nyishi Youth Association (ANYA), found that most shops were operating with valid trading licenses. However, a few establishments were found to be running without the necessary licenses.
These shopkeepers were served challan notices, and new application forms were distributed.
The team also visited the hardware shop owned by Rakesh Panday and Rajesh Panday at Kola Camp, Midpu.
Although the shop was closed, the team verified the trading license, which is registered in the name of the building owner and recorded the materials in stock.
Doimukh SDO Kipa Raja also joined the inspection to oversee the process.
The team comprised other staff from the department of trade and commerce and police personnel from Doimukh police station.
