Itanagar, Feb 1: Governor K T Parnaik on Saturday extended his warm greetings and good wishes to the people of the state on the joyous occasion of Donggin Festival.

He wished that the vibrant celebration brings prosperity, happiness, and a bountiful harvest to the northeastern state.

Parnaik in a message said that agriculture remains the backbone of the state, deeply intertwined with the lives and livelihoods of its people.

“Our community takes pride in celebrating numerous festivals that are closely linked to our agrarian practices. These festivals beautifully showcase our enduring cultural heritage and traditions, passed down through generations,” he said.

Donggin festival of the Adi community is a testament to this rich legacy, reflecting the harmony between our people and nature. I urge every citizen, especially our youth, to actively participate in these celebrations and take pride in preserving and promoting our cultural heritage, he said.

“On this auspicious occasion, I offer my prayers to the deities for peace, prosperity, and the abundance of blessings for every household and for our society as a whole,” the governor added in his message.
