Itanagar, Feb 1: An integrated mega health camp was successfully conducted at Kamba community health centre in West Siang district on Friday.

The camp was organised by the district health society, in collaboration with the district administration and 356 Army Field Hospital, to provide comprehensive healthcare services and promote government health schemes.

The event was initiated by West Siang deputy commissioner Mamu Hage, following instructions from state Chief Minister Pema Khandu. It was officially inaugurated by Liromoba MLA Pesi Jilen, who urged people to take advantage of the free medical services and register under the Chief Minister Arunachal Arogya Yojana (CMAAY), which offers free medical treatment to eligible beneficiaries.

Kamba ADC Tamo Riba in his address, emphasised the importance of accessible healthcare, while district medical officer (DMO) Dr Tomar Kamki, outlined the camp’s objectives.

The camp saw a significant turnout, with over 989 patients receiving free medical consultations and treatments.

A team of specialist doctors and a fully equipped dental unit led by Col Dr Kissinger Maring, Commanding Officer of 356 Army Field Hospital, provided essential healthcare services, including oral health treatments.

During the event, the MLA also launched the 100-day intensified TB elimination campaign, reinforcing the government’s commitment to tuberculosis eradication, early detection, and treatment in the region.
