Itanagar, Feb 7: The government of Arunachal Pradesh has launched a public participation initiative for the upcoming Arunachal State Budget 2025-26, inviting suggestions from citizens to make the budgeting process more inclusive and transparent.

The department of Finance, Planning and Investment has urged residents, experts, and stakeholders to contribute ideas for shaping the state's fiscal roadmap.

Officials said the initiative is aimed at enhancing governance and infrastructure and the state's commitment to participative planning.

Residents can submit their suggestions on the official portal www.arunachalbudget.in by February 16.

To encourage participation, the government has announced a cash prize of Rs 50,000 each for the top three suggestions.

The Eighth Legislative Assembly of Arunachal Pradesh is set to convene for its Fourth Session (Budget Session) from March 6 to March 12 during which the state's financial policies and allocations for the next fiscal year will be discussed.
