Namsai, Feb 10: A National Integration Tour for 30 female students and two teachers from Arunachal University of Studies (AUS) was flagged off from the Golden Pagoda in Namsai on Monday. Organized in collaboration with Assam Rifles under Spear Corps, the initiative aims to foster unity, cultural exchange, and exposure among students as part of the Sadbhavna Project.

During the tour, the students will visit various states and interact with senior officers from both military and civil administration. The program is designed to provide firsthand experience of governance, military operations, and cultural diversity across the country.

Vice-chancellor of AUS, DS Hernwal, expressed gratitude to Major General Manish Kumar, SM, IG IGAR (North), for facilitating the opportunity. He emphasized that such initiatives play a crucial role in broadening students' perspectives and strengthening national integration.

Speaking at the event, deputy chief minister Chowna Mein underscored the importance of discipline and perseverance in achieving success. He shared personal experiences from his early years, encouraging students to remain dedicated to their goals.

The event was attended by Brigadier Sarabjeet Singh, Commander 25 Sector Assam Rifles, pro-chancellor and managing director of AUS Vishva Lochan, Colonel Vivek Tripathi, SM, Commanding Officer of 11 Assam Rifles, Namsai deputy commissioner CR Khampa, and superintendent of police S Thinley.

The tour is expected to provide students with valuable exposure to diverse cultural and administrative systems, reinforcing the ideals of national unity and cooperation.
