Pasighat, Feb 17: The state unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday organised a seminar on the Union Budget 2025-26 at Pasighat, which brought together intellectuals, business leaders, influencers, and senior party members for an in-depth discussion on the budget’s key aspects.

Party BJP President Kaling Moyong welcomed the budget, calling it ‘people-friendly’ and focused on inclusive development and economic growth. He highlighted its major provisions and their positive impact on Arunachal Pradesh and the country.

Moyong praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of ‘Viksit Bharat’ (Developed India) and underscored important reforms, including income tax exemptions and economic policies aimed at accelerating progress.

He pointed out that the tax-free income limit has been increased from ?2.5 lakh to ?12 lakh, a move he said has ‘won the hearts of the middle class.’

He also spoke about the Prime Minister Dhan-Dhaanya Krishi Yojana, a scheme designed to enhance agricultural productivity through state partnerships. Additionally, he noted that the Kisan Credit Card (KCC) scheme has been expanded to provide short-term loans up to ?5 lakh, benefiting 7.7 crore farmers, fishermen, and dairy farmers.

Moyong credited the Modi government for the country’s overall development and said that the BJP’s recent landslide victory in the Delhi Assembly elections reflects the public’s trust in its welfare initiatives.

He also praised the contributions of Prime Minister Modi and Chief Minister Pema Khandu, emphasising that the 2025-26 budget is not just for BJP supporters but for people from all walks of life.

“Under BJP rule, connectivity in Arunachal Pradesh has improved significantly,” Moyong said, urging party workers to actively promote government programs at the grassroots level.

IAF Group Captain Mohonto Pangging (retd), who attended as a resource person, delivered a detailed PowerPoint presentation on the budget, explaining its impact on key sectors such as infrastructure, healthcare, education, and rural development.

An interactive session followed, where participants, including business professionals, intellectuals, and senior party members, raised questions on various aspects of the budget. The discussion provided clarity on how the budget would boost economic growth and benefit the people of the state.

The engaging seminar reinforced confidence in the government’s financial planning and development strategies. The event concluded with BJP Arunachal Pradesh reaffirming its commitment to supporting the implementation of budgetary initiatives for the welfare of the state and its people.

Prominent attendees included Advisor to Chief Minister Alo Libang, MLA and BJP general secretary Zingnu Namchoom, and BJP vice presidents Tarh Tarak, Tagin Siga, and Yalem Taga Burang.
