Itanagar, Feb 21: In keeping with the Pema Khandu government's commitment to inclusive governance, Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein who, is also holding the finance, planning and investment portfolios, on Friday convened a pre-budget consultative meeting with Community-Based Organizations (CBOs) at his civil secretariat office here.

The meeting was held to seek inputs for the state annual Budget 2025-26.

Expressing his gratitude to the CBO representatives for their active participation, Mein acknowledged the significance of their inputs in shaping policies that are people-centric. He emphasized that as representatives of their respective communities, their insights play a crucial role in drafting policies that truly reflect the needs of the people.

"Our government's objective is to ensure that developmental initiatives reach the grassroots level so that no one is left behind," Mein stated.

He recognized the role of CBOs in achieving this vision and called them an integral part of 'Team Arunachal.'

Assuring the participants that their suggestions were duly noted, Mein said they would be carefully considered for incorporation into the upcoming budget.

The meeting was attended by 18 representatives from various CBOs, along with Advisor to the deputy Chief minister Anupam Tangu, Secretary of Planning & Investment R K Sharma, Director of Planning & Investment Pallab Dey, and officials from the Planning & Investment department.
