Yachuli, Feb 28: In a small yet significant ceremony on Friday, Keyi Panyor deputy commissioner Shweta Nagarkoti Mehta handed over the first trade license issued through the online single-window Ease of Doing Business (EODB) portal to local entrepreneur Khoda Bath.
The event was attended by trade development officer Tai Arun, circle officer Sylvia Koyu, and officials from the trade & commerce department.
The launch of the EODB portal marks a major step toward good governance and business facilitation in the district. With this system in place, business owners no longer need to travel to the DC office in Yachuli for trade license applications. Instead, they can conveniently apply from their homes using computers or mobile phones by visiting www.eodb.arunachal.gov.in.
Additionally, the portal allows renewal of trade licenses previously issued offline. Applicants must first register and apply for a one-time renewal of their physical applications (backlog) before transitioning to the fully online system.
For any assistance related to trade licenses, the trade & commerce remains available to guide applicants. Officials have undergone training to ensure the smooth and efficient delivery of public services through the EODB portal, a press release informed here.
