Bomdila, Mar 5: Government College Bomdila has been designated as a nodal institution by the Centre’s Ministry of Youth Affairs for conducting the District Level Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament 2025 for Tawang, East Kameng, and West Kameng districts.
The Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament, conceptualized in 2017, seeks to foster leadership and policy awareness among young individuals. The initiative aligns with the Viksit Bharat@2047 vision to equip youth with skills in policymaking and governance.
Participants aged 18 to 25 are required to register on the Mera Yuva (MY) Bharat portal and submit a one-minute video on the theme "What does Viksit Bharat mean to you?" Based on screening, 150 participants will be shortlisted across the three districts. The district-level competition, scheduled for March 16 and 17 at Government College Bomdila, will focus on the theme "One Nation, One Election, paving the way for Viksit Bharat."
The top ten participants from the district round will proceed to the state-level competition in Itanagar, where a panel of five jury members will evaluate their presentations. The top three state finalists will represent the state in the national event of the Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament in New Delhi.
Government College Bomdila principal and chairman of the event, Tashi Phuntso, expressed the institution’s enthusiasm for hosting the district-level event, emphasizing the significance of such platforms in shaping young minds for policymaking and governance.
