Namsai, Mar 6: The School of Pharmacy at Arunachal University of Studies (AUS) here, marked National Pharmacy Education Day with a special event on Thursday, commemorating the birth anniversary of Prof M L Schroff, widely regarded as the Father of Pharmacy in India.
The celebration highlighted the crucial role of pharmacy education in shaping healthcare professionals and contributing to societal well-being.
AUS Rector Prof D S Hernwal in his address, reflected on the pioneering contributions of Prof Schroff, whose visionary efforts laid the foundation for modern pharmacy education in India.
Registrar of the Arunachal Pradesh Pharmacy Council Nangbia Tapin delivered an inspiring speech on the indispensable role of pharmacists in society. He encouraged students to strive for excellence and acknowledged the university’s commitment to delivering quality education in the field.
AUS vice chancellor Prof Ajeya Jha spoke about the evolution of pharmacy education in India and the expanding career opportunities in the field. He urged students to stay dedicated to their aspirations and contribute meaningfully to the healthcare sector.
Concluding the event Lakhyajit Borah, assistant professor from School of Pharmacy of the varsity, in his votes of thanks expressed gratitude to the dignitaries, faculty members, and students for their enthusiastic participation and contributions.
