Likabali, Mar 10: Lower Siang deputy commissioner Rujjum Rakshap on Monday inaugurated a new library in Liru village in Lower Siang district.

The library is an initiative of senior public leader Gumke Riba to encourage reading habits among the students.

Speaking at the event, Rakshap emphasized the importance of libraries in today’s digital age, where younger generations are often occupied with mobile phones and social media.

He urged students to take advantage of the library’s resources, highlighting how reading can significantly aid in competitive exams and overall personal growth.

Riba also encouraged all school principals and headmasters in Likabali to motivate their students to visit the library and develop a reading habit.

He assured that the library would remain open daily from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm and would provide daily newspapers for readers.
