Boleng, Mar 15: Panchayati Raj and Rural Development minister Ojing Tasing on Saturday inaugurated the sub-post office at Boleng in Siang district.
The sub-post office at Boleng will operate with a new pin code: 791004.
In his address, Tasing emphasized the significance of the sub-post office, stating that it will not only benefit the people of Boleng but also the entire Siang district.
He encouraged the public to utilize the facilities provided by the Postal department.
The minister also distributed passbooks for various savings schemes to account holders.
Siang deputy commissioner PN Thungon requested the postal department to conduct awareness programs on financial inclusion and financial literacy at the village level.
Also present on the occasion were Siang zilla parishad chairperson Osi Pabin Mibang, Inspector of police Kabit Taki and others.
