Aalo, Mar 17: The Indian Army has constructed a foot suspension bridge over the Sipu River in Angu village, addressing a long-standing need of the residents.
The newly constructed bridge replaces the traditional structure that villagers have relied on for centuries. Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, a resident expressed satisfaction, stating that the bridge fulfils a long-awaited requirement for safer and more convenient access.
The bridge was officially handed over to the villagers during a formal inauguration program attended by Gaon Burahs (GBs), Panchayati Raj Institution (PRI) members, officials from the Indian Army, and representatives from the District Information and Public Relations Office (DIPRO), Aalo.
Local officials and residents welcomed the initiative, acknowledging its significance in improving connectivity and ensuring safe passage over the river.
