Boleng, Mar 17: The Siang district administration, in collaboration with the Skill Development & Entrepreneurship department, has successfully flagged off the second batch of trainees for the “Adventure Travel Guide (High Altitude)” training under the PMKVY 4.0 framework at the National Institute of Mountaineering and Adventure Sports (NIMAS), on Sunday.
The batch comprises 22 trainees, including 8 young women, marking another milestone in skill development and employment generation in the region.
It follows the first batch of 37 trainees from the district, who began their training on January 28 last, with strong support from RD and Panchayat minister Ojing Tasing and MLA Talem Taboh.
The training at NIMAS offers participants hands-on experience and certification, equipping them with essential skills for careers in mountaineering, trekking, and eco-tourism.
The initiative not only enhances employment opportunities but also strengthens Arunachal Pradesh’s potential as an adventure tourism hub.
