Aalo, Mar 18: More than 300 people availed various government services at the Seva Aap Ke Dwar (SAD) camp, organized by the West Siang district administration at Angu Government Upper Primary School under Bagra Circle in Pushi Bango on Tuesday.
Inaugurating the camp, deputy commissioner Mamu Hage urged PRI leaders, gaon burahs, and the public to stay informed about government schemes and their benefits. She emphasized the need for Aadhaar updates and directed department heads to provide PRI leaders with detailed information on various welfare programs.
Addressing social concerns, the DC discouraged drug abuse and encouraged youth to explore employment opportunities in the tourism and hospitality sectors. She also commended circle officer Jumi Ete and PRI members for successfully organizing the camp.
As part of the event, winners of an essay competition on "Let's Make Villages Beautiful" were felicitated, and appreciation certificates were awarded to HGBs and GPCs.
Meanwhile, the Papum Pare district administration also organized the Seva Aap Ke Dwar 2.0 program at Government Secondary School, Jote, to provide essential public services and information to citizens.
Parul Gaur Mittal, the mentor secretary to Papum Pare district, accompanied by deputy commissioner Jiken Bomjen, ADC Takar Rawa and other officials, participated in the event.
Addressing the gathering, Mittal emphasized the importance of utilizing the program's benefits and urged citizens to visit the camp for streamlined and convenient access to services.
DC Bomjen expressed gratitude to the Heads of Offices for their dedication and commitment despite their tight schedules.
Key highlights of the camp included the distribution of government certificates, seed saplings, and kits to beneficiaries, along with simplified processes for accessing government services.
A total of 593 people benefited from the camp in Papum Pare.
Both camps witnessed active participation from government officials, PRI members, gaon burahs and the general public.
