Pasighat, Mar 19: A significant milestone in regional journalism was achieved on Wednesday with the inauguration of Siang Today, a dedicated media house based at Pasighat.
The event was attended by Pasighat East MLA Tapi Darang, along with deputy commissioner Tayi Taggu, superintendent of police Pankaj Lamba, and other dignitaries.
In his address, Darang underscored the vital role of media in society, stressing the need for responsible journalism to keep the public informed and uphold democratic values. He expressed confidence that the new generation, equipped with skills and knowledge, would contribute to the growth of media in the state.
Founder of Siang Today Maman Siram, along with the team, expressed gratitude to the dignitaries and well-wishers for their support. She reaffirmed the platform’s commitment to delivering credible and timely news, with a strong focus on local issues and regional development.
